First, determine the difference between your upper arm circumference and our measurement chart.
Step 1:
Draw a vertical line from the center of the sleeve to the hem. The center of the sleeve (shoulder seam) is marked on the pattern with a notch. Then draw a horizontal line, this is drawn about 3/4” – 1 1/2” ( 3-4 cm) below the sleeve cap. Then, cut out the lines.
Step 2:
First, the sleeve parts are pushed apart in parallel at the height of the horizontal line by the missing upper arm width . Then, the upper sleeve parts are turned in the middle of the sleeve and the lower sleeve parts in the middle of the hem. The horizontal incision lines overlap.
Step 3:
The resulting creases in the sleeve cap and in the hem must be redrawn, in a harmonious line. The notch from the sleeve center must be transferred. The straight grain must be redrawn, this runs exactly in the middle of the extension.
