Clara Dress

The Clara dress is a bustier dress and is made with bodice stays. This gives the dress a great body shape. The pattern contains two versions, version 1 is with a pleated skirt and the second version is with a ruffled skirt and two different bustier. The dress will be closed with a zip at the centre back. The pattern has an additional Beamer file.

My pattern was named after Clara Josephine Zetkin.Born Eißner, she was born on 5 July 1857 in Wiederau and died on 20 June 1933 in Krasnogorsk-Arkhangelskoye near Moscow. She was a German politician who was active as a socialist-communist, peace activist and women’s rights campaigner. She was a member of the SPD until 1917 and an important representative of the revolutionary Marxist faction. In 1917, she joined the USPD, a splinter group of the SPD. She was part of the left wing or Spartacus group, which was transformed into the Spartacus League during the November Revolution of 1918. Together with other left-wing revolutionary groups, he founded the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) at the turn of the year 1918/1919. Zetkin was a member of the Reichstag from 1920 to 1933 and in 1932 she was the senior president of the parliament, which made her an important member of the KPD.
