Indira -Dress

The dress Indira has a V-neck, straps and the front skirt is slightly gathered in the middle as well as the front bodice. The pattern contains two versions once as a maxi and once as a short dress as well as two different necklines in the front and back. In addition to the sewing instructions, there is also a video tutorial of the most important steps on YouTube.

Our pattern was named after Indira Ghandi (*19 November 1917 in India; † 31 October 1984 in India). Indira was elected Prime Minister in India in 1966, it was the second country in history to be ruled by a woman. Although Indira was known for her authoritarian leadership style and courage, she tried to resolve conflicts personally and mediate whenever possible.
