How do I know that an SBA is necessary ?

SBA=Small body adjustment

You can recognize the need of an SBA on your sewing pattern by the fact that it fits well in all areas but has too much fabric in the bust area (bust point). In the upper part, there are wide folds . If the pattern was one size smaller, it would only fit well in the bust area and the rest would be too tight. On the upper part, you can pin the excess fabric and determine how much width of the fabric has to be removed.
